About QuickTools

QuickTools is a set of free online tools for everyday tasks — converting an image, merging a few PDFs, counting words, working out a mortgage payment. No accounts, no watermarks, no waiting for an upload bar.

Your files stay on your device

Almost every tool here runs entirely in your browser using your own device’s processor. Your files are never transmitted to us, which means there is no upload delay, no file size cap, and nothing for us to store, lose or hand over. You can disconnect from the internet after a tool page loads and it will still work.

A small number of tools genuinely cannot work this way — looking up a domain’s DNS records, for example, requires a server to make the request. Those tools say so clearly on their own pages.

How this site is funded

Advertising, and occasionally affiliate links on the financial calculators. We label affiliate links wherever they appear. We do not use interstitials, pop-ups or auto-playing video, because they make a utility site worse to use and we would rather you came back.

Who runs it

QuickTools is an independent project, built and maintained by one developer in Ontario, Canada. It is not affiliated with any of the software vendors, lenders or government bodies mentioned on the site. There is no company behind it deciding which results you should see.

Corrections

The financial calculators follow published Canadian rules — semi-annual compounding under the Interest Act, CMHC premium bands, minimum down payment tiers and the B-20 stress test. Rules change, and we may get something wrong. If you spot an error, email hello@myquicktools.io and we will fix it — see the contact page for what is most useful to include.
