Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of QuickTools at myquicktools.io. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

Using the site

QuickTools is free to use for personal and commercial work. You do not need an account, and there is no usage limit. You keep all rights to the files you process — we never receive them, so we could not claim anything in them even if we wanted to, and we grant ourselves no licence over your content.

Please do not use the site to process material you have no right to process, to break any law, to circumvent technical protection on a document you do not own, or to attack, overload, or automatically scrape the service in a way that degrades it for other people. We may block access that does any of these.

No warranty

The tools are provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We work hard to make them correct, but software has bugs and we cannot promise any tool will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your particular purpose. Keep a copy of any original file before you convert or modify it.

Financial calculators are estimates

The financial calculators implement published Canadian rules as we understand them at the time of writing — semi-annual compounding under the Interest Act, CMHC premium bands, minimum down payment tiers and the B-20 stress test among them. Rates, tax brackets, contribution limits and lending rules change, and individual circumstances vary enormously.

Nothing on this site is financial, tax, mortgage, investment or legal advice, and no result should be relied on for a real decision without confirming it with a qualified professional or with your lender. We are not a bank, broker, lender, advisor or tax preparer, and using a calculator here creates no professional relationship of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including lost data, lost profits, lost opportunity, or decisions made on the basis of a calculator result. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to CAD $100.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is funded by display advertising and by affiliate commissions on some links. We label affiliate links where they appear. Advertisers do not influence calculator results, tool behaviour, or the content of any page, and we do not publish sponsored posts or sell links. Advertisements are served by third parties and we do not endorse, and are not responsible for, what they promote — see the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.

Our content

The site’s design, text, comparison data and code are ours and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote and link to any page. You may not republish substantial portions, or use them to train a competing product, without permission — which we will usually give if you ask. Trademarks and format names mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to external references — government sources, standards documents, vendor documentation. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
