Privacy Policy

This policy explains what QuickTools (myquicktools.io) collects, what it does not collect, who else is involved, and what you can do about it. It covers every page on this site.

The short version

The files you process with our tools — your images, PDFs and text — are handled entirely inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to us, so we never see them, store them or share them. We have no user accounts and no user database. We do collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics, and we show advertising, which involves cookies set by Google and its partners.

Files you process

Tools marked as running in your browser do exactly that: your file is read by JavaScript running on your device, processed there, and written back to a download. No copy is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Closing the tab discards everything — there is no server-side copy to delete, because one was never made. You can disconnect from the internet after a tool page has loaded and it will still work, which is the simplest way to verify this claim for yourself.

Where a tool genuinely requires a server — a DNS or WHOIS lookup, for example, cannot be done from a browser — the tool page says so explicitly and describes what is sent and how long it is kept. No such tool is live at the time of writing.

What we actually collect

• Aggregate page views. Which pages are visited, how often, roughly where in the world from (country level), what kind of device, and which site referred you. This is counted without cookies and without any identifier that persists across days, so it cannot be tied back to you.
• Standard server logs. Our web server records requests, including IP address, in the ordinary course of serving pages. These are kept for a short period for security and debugging and are not used to build any profile.
• Anything you choose to email us. If you write to us, we have your message and your address until the matter is closed.

We do not ask for your name, your email, or any account details to use a tool. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the advertising partners described below, who receive it directly from your browser rather than from us.

Cookies and similar technologies

QuickTools sets no cookies of its own. We use no login cookies, no tracking pixels of our own, and our analytics is cookie-free by design.

Cookies on this site come from our advertising partners. Specifically:

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads here and may likewise use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to measure performance and, where permitted, to personalise what you see.

You can control this in several ways:

• Opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of many third-party vendors at once at aboutads.info, the NAI opt-out, or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site depends on a cookie, so every tool keeps working normally if you do.

Consent, if you are in Europe or the UK

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising or measurement cookie is set. Your choices are recorded and passed to our advertising partners under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. You can reopen that dialog and change or withdraw your consent at any time from the privacy link shown by the consent banner. Withdrawing consent does not remove the ads; it means you see non-personalised ones.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count page views and understand which tools people use. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you across other websites. We cannot identify an individual from it, and the data is not shared with advertisers.

Affiliate links

Some pages, particularly the financial calculators, contain affiliate links. If you follow one and sign up for a product, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are labelled where they appear. They never affect the result a calculator produces, and we do not receive any personal information back from the merchant about what you did after clicking.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, there is in practice nothing held about a child to delete — but if you believe otherwise, write to us and we will investigate.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data held about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. In practice we hold very little — there are no accounts and no user database — so most requests are answered quickly.

• Canada (PIPEDA, and Quebec’s Law 25). You may ask what personal information we hold, ask for it to be corrected, and withdraw consent for its use. Quebec residents additionally have rights to de-indexing and to data portability.
• EEA and UK (GDPR). Our lawful bases are consent for advertising and measurement cookies, and legitimate interest for keeping the site secure and working. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
• California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising on our own account. Advertising partners acting through this site have their own disclosures, linked above.

Where the site runs

QuickToolsis operated from Canada and hosted on servers in Canada. Because advertising is served by Google, information your browser sends to Google when an ad loads may be processed in the United States and elsewhere under Google’s own safeguards.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how advertising works, surface it through the consent dialog. The current version always lives at this URL.
