Why are my scanned pages in the wrong order?
Almost always duplex scanning on a single-sided feeder: you scan all the fronts, then all the backs, and end up with pages 1, 3, 5 followed by 2, 4, 6. The other common cause is a merged bundle where the source files went in alphabetically — operating systems sort filenames as text, so page10.pdf comes before page2.pdf.
Is there a quick way to fix a reversed document?
Yes — Reverse all flips the entire order in one press, which handles the second half of a duplex scan immediately. Reset order puts everything back to how it arrived if you change your mind, so you can experiment without reloading the file.
Does reordering lose quality?
No. Pages are copied into a new document in the order you set, with their content streams intact. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and the output is essentially the same size as the input.
What about bookmarks and printed page numbers?
Printed page numbers move with their pages, so the visible sequence will look wrong afterwards — they are part of the page content and cannot be renumbered without editing the pages. Document-level bookmark trees are not rebuilt either, and internal links may point at the wrong page. Regenerate from the source if those matter.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using your own device's processor, so your documents never travel over the network. That matters for contracts, statements, medical records and tax filings — the documents people most often need to edit are exactly the ones you should not hand to an unfamiliar server. There is no upload wait, no size cap, and nothing for us to store or leak.

Pages are copied into a new document in the order you set, with their content streams intact. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. The output is essentially the same size as the input.
What it cannot repair
- Printed page numbers. These are part of the page content. Reordering moves the pages and their numbers together, so the sequence will look wrong. Only re-generating the document from its source fixes that.
- Bookmarks and internal links. Document-level outlines are not rebuilt, and internal links may point at the wrong page afterwards.
- Orientation. If some pages are also sideways, reorder first and then use rotate PDF on the ones that need it.
A faster route for simple cases
If all you want is a contiguous slice in a new order, the split tool is quicker — its page selection preserves the order you type, so entering 5,1,3 extracts those three pages in that sequence in a single step.
Nothing is uploaded
